NomadVisa

Greek nomads now need a visa before they arrive

  • Under the new immigration law 5275/2026 you can no longer arrive as a tourist and then apply locally
  • You must first get a national Type D digital nomad visa from a Greek consulate
  • You then apply for the residence permit after you enter Greece
  • Expect more time and cost than under the old route

Romania's digital nomad visa: the basics

  • You need income of at least 3x Romania's gross average wage, checked for each of the last 6 months
  • There are 2 steps: a Type D visa from a Romanian embassy, then a residence permit after you arrive
  • Renew before your permit expires. Late filing can put your status at risk
  • Your tax position is assessed separately from the visa

NomadVisa

Poland has no digital nomad visa. Here are the real options

  • Polish law does not treat remote work for a foreign employer as a residence purpose
  • The Poland Business Harbour fast track for IT workers is suspended
  • Most non-EU nationals cannot open a sole proprietorship unless they already hold a qualifying status, such as permanent residence
  • Your realistic routes: 90-day Schengen stays, a national D visa, or a job with a Polish employer
