The foreign company comes first
We first review the company’s operating history, turnover, financial statements, tax standing, real activity and commercial reason for a presence in Bulgaria.
Route for an established foreign companyBG / 01
This route is designed for an established foreign company that can demonstrate genuine activity, financial standing and tax compliance. A suitable company may register a Bulgarian trade representation office, after which eligible registered trade representatives may pursue a visa and residence permit—subject to current law and individual approval.

THE ROUTE, UNPACKED↓
A Bulgarian trade representation office is not a local trading company and cannot itself conduct economic activity. This is a selective, document-heavy route and is not suitable for a new or inactive company.
We first review the company’s operating history, turnover, financial statements, tax standing, real activity and commercial reason for a presence in Bulgaria.
Where the company qualifies, the office is registered with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with an actual office address, authorised representatives and a documented activity programme.
Eligible trade representatives may then seek the relevant visa and residence permission within the legal limit. Registration creates a pathway; it does not guarantee approval.
Contact us for a private eligibility review. If the foreign company does not fit this route, ask us about Hungary’s more straightforward company-and-residency pathway.
